If I were a SONG, I would be ‘I’ve Had the Time of My Life’ from ‘Dirty Dancing’ – partly because I am so lucky to have lived my life to the full, good and bad. You are a lucky person if your cup is half full! It was also my husband and mine’s first date song and first dance at our wedding.
If I were a PLANET, I would be the Moon. I was born on a full moon and have a life-long obsession with it. The inspiration for our De Gournay collaboration is called ‘Celestial Skies.’
If I were a FAIRYTALE, I would be Cinderella – rags to riches! I love a happy ending and good winning over bad in the end. I am also hoping that it will be the next Interior Designers’ Panto – doing that was the best time of my life!
If I were a COCKTAIL, I would be a champagne cocktail – full of bubbles, not restrained and with a cheeky twist.
If I were a SUPERHERO, I would be Wonder Woman. I always think I can take on the world, take on too much – and then come back down to earth again.
If I were a HAT, I would be one by Philip Treacy. When I first started out in interior design, I rented a studio in the house of the amazing Isabella Blow – I was in her front room and Philip was in the back room, having just left St Martin’s. From the very beginning, he was an incredible talent.
