Ascension is in part a homage to the sculptor, Naum Gabo, and in part an exploration of the ‘teardrop’ form. The weight and balance of the sculpture has an intricate network of micro wires that become a focal point, bisecting the flowing curves of the outer form. Formed by hand using various metalworking techniques, it is wholly unique.
